No Injury When Vehicle Strikes Horses

A vehicle driven by a Trenton woman was demolished after striking two horses in the roadway near Altamont.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday morning when a vehicle driven by Susan Mullany of Trenton was westbound on Highway 6 just east of Altamont. The two horses were in the roadway and she could not avoid the collision.
Mrs. Mullany was wearing her seat belt and sustained minor injuries. She was taken by Daviess County Ambulance to Cameron Hospital for treatment, with her vehicle towed from the scene.
The accident was investigated by Trooper A.K. Griffin, with assistance from KAW First Responders.
