Drivers Ticketed After Striking Parked Cars

Two drivers were ticketed by the Trenton Police Department Wednesday after striking parked vehicles.

According to Officer Randy Burks’ report, one mishap occurred on 10th Street near Tindall Avenue when a sport utility vehicle driven by Denise M. Gilbertson of 703 W. 10th St., backed from her driveway and struck a parked truck owned by Christina and Michael Hutton of Spickard. There was very minor damage to the SUV and moderate damage to the Hutton vehicle.
Ms. Gilbertson, 36, was ticketed for careless and imprudent driving by striking a parked vehicle.
Also ticketed for the same offense was Cody J. Daniels, a 19-year-old Osborn resident. According to Det. Jerry Smith’s report, Daniels was southbound on Main Street and looked away from the roadway for a moment, with his vehicle traveling to the right and sideswiping a parked sport utility vehicle owned by Bobby and Ruth Burchett of 3909 E. 10th St. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.
