Police Investigate Two Accidents

Trenton police investigated two accidents on Thursday, March 10.

The first accident was at 5:15 p.m. and involved one vehicle. According to an accident report filed by Officer Josh Gott, a truck driven by Edwin Lopez of Garland, TX was westbound on 22nd Street and attempted to make a right turn onto Chicago Street when the front driver’s side wheel drove into a ditch and sank into the mud. The driver was unable to get the vehicle out of the ditch.
There were no injuries reported and no citations issued.
The second accident occurred at 7 p.m. on Ridgeway Street.
According to an report filed by Officer Keith Edmundston, a van driven by Abigail Oneal of 706 E. Sixth St., who has a driver’s permit and was driving with her father, was northbound on Ridgeway after having turned onto the street from Second Street. The driver told police she came upon vehicles parked on both sides and panicked, driving her vehicle to the right and striking a car owned by Aaron Peyton of 206 Ridgeway. Both vehicles suffered moderate damage. There were no injuries reported or no tickets issued.
