Trenton Fire Department
Dec. 7: firefighters extinguished a fire at 1302 E. Eighth St. The fire was electrical in nature and was contained to the attic in the area above the living room. There was fire damage in that area and minor smoke damage throughout the house. There was heavy water damage to the living room. Firefighters, who were on the scene from about 6 to 7:30 a.m., said the one-story house was occupied by Robert Payne and no injuries were reported. The Grundy County Rural Fire Protection District assisted in fighting the blaze.

Dec. 1: officers assisted another agency at a west residence and investigated a violation of a court order at a north residence.
Dec. 2: an arrest was made on a warrant at an east residence and officers investigated an assault of a law enforcement officer in the downtown area.
Dec. 3: a report of fraud/counterfeit currency was investigated at an east business and a theft from a vehicle was reported in the downtown area. Officers investigated a report of interference with custody at a west residence and responded to a domestic dispute at a north residence.
Dec. 4: an open container violation was investigated in the east part of town and officers investigated a violation of a court order at a west residence.
Dec. 5: officers responded to a report of shoplifting at an east business.
Dec. 6: a domestic dispute was reported at an east residence.
