A Laredo motorist struck a parked car Wednesday while backing from a driveway on Nichols Street.

According to Trenton Police Officer Randy Burks’ report, the accident occurred as Hannah R. Staples of Laredo was backing a sport utility vehicle from a driveway at 1607 Nichols St., when she slid on the ice. Her wheels locked up and she backed into the driver’s side front corner of a parked car owned by Jack Prescott of Jamesport, which was parked on Nichols Street facing north.
There was moderate damage to the Prescott vehicle and minor damage to Ms. Staples’ vehicle. No tickets were issued in the mishap and no injuries were reported.
