The Trenton Police Department investigated an accident Thursday at the intersection of Highway 65 and 28th Street.

According to Officer Randy Burks’ police report, the accident happened as Dela M. Taylor of Spickard was traveling eastbound on 28th Street. She stopped her vehicle at the intersection with Highway 65, but did not see an approaching southbound truck, driven by Misty J. Stark of Princeton, and proceeded to pull into the intersection. The two vehicles collided, resulting in extensive damage to both the car and the truck.
Both drivers complained of soreness, but said they would seek medical attention on their own.
Ms. Taylor, 81, was ticketed for failing to yield at a stop intersection.
