According to Trenton Police Officer Larry Smith’s report, the accident occurred when the tractor-trailer rig, driven by Jeromy Romesburg of Galt, was attempting to make a right turn from 10th Street onto Harris Avenue. Romesburg was in the left-hand turn lane attempting to make the turn. Marilyn J. Shackelford of Brimson was the driver of a car that was also attempting to make a right turn also. She said that Romesburg sat without moving for a while and did not have its turn signal on, so she pulled ahead and attempted to make the turn. Romesburg said he did have the signal on, but that Ms. Shackelford’s car was in his blind spot. When he made the turn, his vehicle struck the driver’s side of the car, causing minor damage to it. There was no reported damage to the tractor-trailer rig.
