According to the accident reported submitted by Trenton Police Lt. Rex Ross, the collision occurred when a van driven by Rebecca R. Baker of 1513 Mable St., was facing westbound on Ninth Street, waiting for the traffic signal to turn green. A car driven by Charlene Altenderfer of 782 S. Highway 65, was stopped behind Ms. Baker. A tractor trailer rig was turning from the south and Ms. Baker began to back to give it room to make the turn. She did not see Ms. Altenderfer’s car and the rear of her vehicle struck the front of Ms. Altenderfer’s vehicle.
There was very minor damage to the Baker vehicle and moderate damage to the Altenderfer car. No tickets were issued due to adverse weather conditions and traffic congestion at the time of the mishap.
