Police Called To Investigate Mishap

The Trenton Police Department was called to an accident Wednesday at the intersection of Shanklin Avenue and Ninth Street, where a car and a truck and trailer unit collided.

According to Officer Tim Phipps’ report, Barbara Missey of 1315 Mable St. was the driver of a car that was attempting to turn right from Shanklin Avenue onto Ninth Street. Ms. Missey was unfamiliar with the road and thought there was more than one lane. She pulled alongside a truck and trailer unit driven by Jeffrey C. Mathews of 163 S. Main St., and owned by Hoffman and Reed, and when both vehicles attempted to turn right, the trailer collided with the left rear door of Ms. Missey’s car.
No injuries were reported and only minor damage was reported Ms. Missey’s car. There was no damage reported to the truck or trailer.
No tickets were issued in the mishap.
