Moore Promoted To Captain

Gary L. Moore has been promoted to captain and has been designated as the director of the Missouri Highway Patrol’s Driver Examination Division at Jefferson City.

Capt. Moore began his career with the patrol in 1981 and his first assignment was in Zone 4 of Troop H, which covered Grundy and Mercer counties. He has also worked as an assistant zone commander in Nodaway and Worth counties and a zone commander in Harrison and Gentry counties before being transferred to the Governor’s Security Division in October 1997. He became assistant director of that division in June 2001, then transferred in 2006 to the Field Operations Bureau and was designated homeland security coordinator. Later that same year, Moore transferred to the Gaming Division as an assistant director, the position he held prior to his current job.
A graduate of Chillicothe High school, he is the father of two children, Amanda Cullin of Clyde and Bryan Nigh of Los Angels, CA, and three grandchildren, Alias, Aiden and Lauren Cullin.
