A minor accident was investigated Friday evening during a period of heavy traffic in the area of 12th and Normal streets.

According to Trenton Police Officer Keith Edmonston’s report, the accident occurred when a truck driven by Joseph Stoker of Weatherford, TX, was at the stop sign at the intersection when the vehicle in front of his needed to back up to clear traffic from the intersection. Stoker also began backing, but due to the height of his truck, he did not see a car driven by Duane Simmons of 1203 Harris Ave. The truck backed into Simmons’ car, causing minor damage to the front of the car. There was no damage reported to Stoker’s truck. No tickets were issued in the mishap.
