According to Officer Nena Snodgrass’ report, the accident occurred when an unknown vehicle made a right turn from Hall Street onto West 11th Street and continued traveling east. After turning, the vehicle apparently crossed the center of the roadway, traveling eastbound in the westbound lane and off the north side of the roadway onto private property at 1104 Hall St. The vehicle continued eastbound through the yard for a short distance and struck two mailboxes, owned by Lucille Marlay and Forrest Shirley, damaging both mailboxes. The vehicle then traveled back onto the roadway and was last seen traveling north on Tindall Avenue.
