One vehicle was damaged in an accident Wednesday evening on Ninth Street.

According to a report filed by Trenton Police Sgt. Kris Schmidt, the accident occurred when a truck driven by Nicholas W. Bonnett of 706 E. Eighth St., was eastbound on Ninth St., approaching the intersection of Ninth and Normal streets. He said that as he was turning southbound onto Normal Street, a car traveling northbound on Normal Street was in his lane. As he attempted to avoid the oncoming vehicle, he drove off the roadway and struck a concrete curb. Both Bonnett and a witness to the mishap said the oncoming vehicle, which was described as an older blue Ford Tempo with a female driver, did not stop at the stop sign and continued northbound on Normal Street.
No injuries were reported. The undercarriage of Bonnett’s truck sustained damage, as did the passenger side tire and rim.
