A Trenton woman sustained injuries in an accident north of Trenton Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol accident report, Debbie Vandevender of Trenton was northbound on Route Y, about seven miles northeast of Trenton, when her vehicle left the right side of the road. Mrs. Vandevender over-corrected and the vehicle traveled across the center line before leaving the left side of the road and striking a ditch. The sport utility vehicle then spun counter-clockwise and overturned, coming to rest on its top.
Mrs. Vandevender, who was not wearing a seat belt according to the report, sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Grundy County Ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital.
The accident was investigated by Sgt. S.P. Skoglund and the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department.
