Schieb Retires As Street Superintendent; Dryer Promoted To Post

Following an executive session during Monday night’s Trenton City Council meeting, members voted to promote Gary Dryer to street superintendent. The current superintendent, Martin Schieb, submitted his resignation last week and will be retiring after 35-plus years with the city. His last day will be Friday, Oct. 18.
Dryer has 22-plus years with the street department and has been the assistant superintendent for several years. His salary will be $48,000 per year after a six-month probation period.
