James I. Lewellen, Trenton, pleaded not guilty to violating a protection order for an adult and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. The defendant became belligerent in court and was found to be in contempt. He was remanded to the Grundy County Detention Center and was released the following day. He is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 10.
The following defendants pleaded guilty to their charges and paid their fines through the Fine Collection Center, with their names provided to the Republican-Times:
Gentry Axtell, Trenton, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $30.50.
Jamison K.P. Dunn, Carrollton, pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and was fined $10.
Pleading guilty to violating wildlife regulations and fined $74.50 were Darryl A. Franatovich, Meraux, LA; and William E. Schultz, Lebanon, (two charges).
Dakota R. Westcott, Chillicothe, pleaded guilty to failing to cover or sufficiently secure a load and was fined $130.50.
Jonathan W. Helton, Trenton, pleaded guilty to failing to display plates on a motor vehicle and was fined $30.50.
