Norma Edson, an 82-year-old former Trenton resident, died on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
The body has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home of Bethany.
A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the First Baptist Church at Richmond.
Mrs. Edson was born on Sept. 16, 1932 in Bethany, the daughter of Clarence L. Lilly and Claudia Ilene Baker. She was married on May 20, 1950 in Maryville to C.E. “Gene” Edson, who survives of the home.
She worked as a substitute teacher and GED instructor.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, David Edson and his wife, Kay of St. Joseph, Randy Edson and his wife, Pam of Liberty and John Edson and his wife, Sharon of Jamesport; two daughters, Shirley Harrington and her husband, Jim, of Jamesport and Tina Frey and her husband, Paul, of Brookfield; one sister, Wanda Craig and her husband, Dale of New Hampton; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Marita L. Schutz; and a grandson, Paul Isaac Schutz.
Memorials have been suggested to the Ray County Senior Center of the First Baptist Church WMU Foundation.
