Four area FFA teams finished in the top 10 during the Northwest District FFA Knowledge competition on Tuesday.
Princeton took top honors and had the number one individual judge while Trenton was second, Jamesport was fourth and Grundy R-5 placed seventh. Another area FFA team, Gilman City, was 18th.
Princeton was led by Lauren Cox, who was the top overall judge. Kaycee Kile and Clayton Sweeten finished tied for fifth while Megan Hydorn was ninth. Trenton was led by Jayden Roeder, who was the fourth-high individual judge. Other team members were Emily Kasinger, 12th; Alyssa Kosse, 20th; and Mason Owen, 24th.
Jamesport’s Lilly Simons was second-high individual judge. Other team members were Macy Ward, 27th; Lance Cook, 48th; and Jerilyn Hoover, 66th. Grundy R-5 was led by Mady Williams, who was third overall. Braiden Turpin was 40th, Zoe Littleton was 62nd and Dakota Hill was 79th. Gilman City’s top jduge was Jacob Newton, who was 40th. Other members of the judging team were Megan Cottrell, 59th; and Gabe Sperry, 72nd.
