Chastine Baker, an 84-year-old former Princeton and Trenton resident, died early morning on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012 at the Presbyterian Manor in Kansas City, KS.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today (Monday, August 20, 2012) at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home of Trenton. Burial was in the Edinburg IOOF Cemetery in Edinburg, MO.
Mrs. Baker was born on Dec. 26, 1927 in Princeton, the daughter of Ellsworth and Hallie Dragoo McReynolds. She was married on Jan. 23, 1946 in Troy, KS to Jessie Baker, who preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 1985.
They lived in Trenton until moving to Kansas City, KS in 1959, where Jessie worked for the Ford plant. They returned to Trenton in 1982.
Mrs. Baker enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Maxwell of Kansas City, KS; a son, Gary Baker of Kansas City; a sister, Ruby Henry of Mercer; a brother, Bobby McReynolds of Princeton; a sister-in-law, Katherine McReynolds of Princeton; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Karen Turley and Deloris Jean Baker; and three brothers, Wendell, Wayne and Forest McReynolds.
Memorial donations are suggested to the funeral home for expenses.
