Freshman And JV Football Teams Fall In Lawson

The Trenton High School freshman and junior varsity football teams were in action in a doubleheader in Lawson on Monday night. Both teams ended up on the receiving end as Lawson took the freshman game, 14-6, and also the JV game, 47-6.

Trenton’s lone touchdown in the freshman game came when Dalton Preston returned a Lawson kickoff 80 yards for the touchdown. Trenton also scored on a kickoff return in the JV game. John Ray returned a Lawson kickoff 70 yards for the JV’s lone touchdown.
The freshman team fell to 3-1 on the year and the JV dropped to 4-3. Next up for the freshman team is a road game in Richmond next Monday. The JV will also be in action that night as they host Brookfield at 6 o’clock at C.F. Russell Stadium.
