Vickie Sims, a 54-year-old resident of 315 Linn St. in Trenton, died at 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at her home.

Vickie Sims, a 54-year-old resident of 315 Linn St. in Trenton, died at 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, 2004 at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Rev. Danny Moore will officiate. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.

An open visitation is currently under way at the mortuary.

Mrs. Sims was born in Trenton on Oct. 2, 1949, the daughter of Tommy and Juanita Hill Reeder. She had been a member of the Rural Dale Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading and all kinds of crafts.

She was married on June 11, 1967 to Ronald Boram, who preceded her in death on April 17, 1970. She was remarried in Trenton on July 4, 1971 to Robert Sims, who survives of the home.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Rodney Boram and his wife, Michelle, of Liberty, Shawn Sims of Princeton and Shannon Sims of Osgood, IN; her mother and step-father, Curtis and Juanita Ely of Trenton; four sisters, Venita Creason and her husband, Richard, of Trenton, Tommie McKibben and her husband, Rodger, of Winterset, IA, Bonnie Midgyett and her husband, Robert, of Chillicothe, and Debbie Marshall and her husband, Daniel, of Columbia; one step-brother, James Robert Ely of Trenton; two step-sisters, Angie Flower and her husband, Jonathon, of Akins, SC, and Linda Ely of Augusta, GA; three grandchildren, Madison, Nathaniel and Abigail; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her father.

The family suggest memorial donations for funeral expenses. They may be left at the mortuary.
