Mrs. Leah Ann Hart, 60, a resident of Stoneville, N.C., died at 4:05 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 1999, shortly after arrival at Kingston Hospital in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, where she was taken after becoming ill at her cottage at Thirty Island Lake. She was a native of Jamesport.

Mrs. Leah Ann Hart, 60, a resident of Stoneville, N.C., died at 4:05 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 1999, shortly after arrival at Kingston Hospital in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, where she was taken after becoming ill at her cottage at Thirty Island Lake. She was a native of Jamesport.

The body was cremated. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at the cottage.

Mrs. Hart was born on Feb. 3, 1939 in Jamesport, the daughter of Manuel and Dorothy Grice Urick. She was raised in the Jamesport community and graduated from Jamesport High School. She was married to Henry Lee Jackson on June 8, 1958 in Jamesport.

After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson made their home in Owego, N.Y. Mr. Jackson died on June 4, 1974. She was later married to Charles Hart. They lived in North Carolina after their marriage and maintained a summer cottage on Thirty Island Lake, Ontario.

Mrs. Hart was a member of the Eastern Star and a VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Charles of the home; her mother, Dorothy Urick, a resident of the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton; her stepmother, Bernice Urick of Portland, Or.; a daughter, Melody Shipley of Galt; two sons, Richard Jackson of Greenwich, Ct., and Mark Jackson of Cameron; a brother, Gene Urick of Jamesport; a sister, Janet Vosbaugh of Forrestdale, Ma.; three stepchildren; six grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and one step-great-granddaughter.

Mrs. Hart was preceded in death by her father, and an infant brother, Dennis.
