Claude and Nadine Eckert, former educators at Pleasant View R-6 School, were honored at Saturday’s Pleasant View Extravaganza when they cut the ribbon on the district’s new addition, which is named the “Claude and Nadine Eckert Addition.” The addition houses the sixth through eighth grade classrooms and a concession stand area. Claude Eckert is the former long-time superintendent in the district and Eckert was a teacher in the district. The couple, pictured with the their daughter and son-in-law, Claudine and John Barner, also announced a $50,000 donation to the district during the event, which included various activities such as an auction that raised nearly $20,000 for the school and a dodgeball tournament.
