The game was back-and-forth all night, but the Bulldogs got a pair of huge three-pointers from Isaac Bird and Boston Bell in the fourth quarter which put Gallatin over the top. Bird’s triple tied the game and Bell’s gave Gallatin a lead they would hold the rest of the way.
It was a rough shooting night for Bird, who drew the bulk of the attention from the Tiger defense. He finished with 13 points, eight rebounds and four steals in the win. Payton Feiden picked up the slack, however, leading the Bulldogs with 18 points, 14 rebounds and three assists. Gallatin also got 12 points from point guard Peyton Johnson.
The win pushed Gallatin to 21-6 overall on the season. The Bulldogs will battle top-seeded West Platte for the Class 2, District 15 championship on Saturday. Tip time in Gallatin is set for 1 p.m.
