Trenton Municipal Utilities is issuing a boil advisory for certain areas on Thursday as the company prepares to replace a valve on a water line.
TMU has issued the advisory for properties on Monroe St. from East 9th St. to East 8th St., East 8th St. from Monroe St. to Haliburton St., Haliburton St. from East 8th St. to East 7th St. and East 7th St. from Haliburton St. to Ridgeway St. Water in these areas is expected to be turned off for two hours while the valve is replaced.
The boil advisory goes into effect at 8 a.m. on Thursday and will expire 30 hours after, at 2 p.m. on Friday.
A boil advisory is not a boil order. Advisories are issued when there is concern a problem may exist, while an order is issued by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources when a threat to public health exists or is likely to exist.
