Bulldogs Take All Three Matches In Road Victory
There wasn’t a whole lot to Trenton’s dual victory over the Minutemen on the road in Lexington on Thursday. Lexington featured just two players, meaning Trenton had the dual won on forfeits before a serve was ever tossed.
But Trenton was able to get on-court victories over Lexington’s doubles team and beat both Minutemen individually as well to take all three matches and sweep the dual 9-0.
Jonin Villacampa and Riley Walker combined to score an 8-0 doubles victory. Trent Villacampa then scored an 8-1 singles win and Bradyn Sager won his singles match 8-0 to wrap up the dual.
Maverick Sole, Dylan Smith and Victor Markell did not get matches on the day.
With the win, Trenton improved to 8-2 overall on the season.
The Bulldogs were back in action on Monday, traveling to Kirksville for a dual and Trenton hosts Cameron today at the newly minted Carl Carpenter and Mike Bosley Courts at Trenton High School. First serves for the dual with the Dragons are scheduled for 4 p.m.
