Amity Eileen Ritze of Broken Arrow, OK died on Friday, Nov. 27, 2020 at her home, having been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer in December 2015.
She was born on July 30, 1980 in Tulsa, OK to Dr. Mike and Connie Ritze. She graduated from Trinity Christian School in Broken Arrow in 1998, received her bachelor of science degree in biological sciences (pre-medicine) from Oklahoma State University in 2004 and her master’s degree in business administration (magna cum laude) from Saint Leo University in 2010. She received her juris doctorate degree from the Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2017, receiving an Advanced Legal Research Award, serving as vice justice of the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity and was named the SBA Outstanding Student of the Year. She became a certified member of the Oklahoma Bar Association in 2018 while a legal intern at the law offices of Sherwood, McCormick and Robert in Tulsa and was sworn in on May 29, 2020.
She enjoyed traveling, concerts, dining with friends, shopping, spending time with her family and spending summers at Table Rock Lake.
She is survived by her parents, Dr. Mike and Connie Ritze; a sister, Dr. Heidi Prince and her husband, Dr. Andrew Prince; a brother, Jamey Ritze and his wife, Sydnie; three nephews; her aunt and uncle; three first cousins; and three second cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Kelsey Ann Ritze; and grandparents, Dr. Ted and Oka Ritze and Elmo and Mary Ann Wilkerson.
