William E. “Bill” Larson, a 94-year-old resident of Laredo, died on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020 at Sunnyview Nursing Home at Trenton.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, 2020 at the Richardson Cemetery at Laredo. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday at the Lindley Funeral Home in Laredo.
Mr. Larson was born on Jan. 18, 1926 in LaPorte, IN, the son of Frank E. and Hazel B. Clark Larson. He was married on June 20, 1945 in LaPorte to Mildred “Tiny” Owens, who preceded him in death on Jan. 12, 2008. He worked as a truck driver for Churchill Truck Lines in Chillicothe for 20 years. He then was a self-employed truck driver for 20 years.
He was a member of the Laredo Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, tractor pulls and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include one son, Gary Larson and his wife, Karen of Laredo; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one son, William “Little Bill” Larson; six brothers, Ralph, Lee, Orlie, Dewey, Pete and Herschel Larson; and two sisters, Anna Parker and June Parker.
Memorial contributions may be made to Richardson Cemetery and they may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
