Boy Scouts from the Trenton area will be hanging door tags on Saturday, Oct. 31 for their annual “Scouting for Food” campaign.
Scouts, leaders and parents planning to help with the tag distribution are asked to meet at 9 a.m. in the fellowship hall of the Wesley United Methodist Church.
Food collection will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7, beginning at 9 a.m., with non-perishable food and toiletry items collected to be donated to the Grundy County Food Pantry. Suggested food items include canned meats, vegetables, soups, boxes of helpers (hamburger, tuna and chicken), cereals and crackers while paper products, cleaning supplies and personal toiletries will also be accepted. Persons wanting to make a donation are asked to check for expiration dates and dents.
