Just two new positive cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Grundy County since last Thursday, according to information provided to the Republican-Times.
The health department reports 332 total cases as of Monday morning. There were no new cases reported on Saturday, which is the first time in 56 days that no new cases have been added.
Active numbers are at 38, which is down six from the 44 reported on Thursday. There have been 14 deaths, an increase of one since the last report.
Other area counties and their numbers include Livingston, 423 (31 active – including 14 in the hospital, 8 deaths; Sullivan, 328 (48 active, 1 death); Linn, 300 (33 active, 14 deaths); Daviess, 230 (112 active, 4 deaths); Carroll, 220 (34 active – including 4 in the hospital, 5 deaths); Caldwell, no update available; Harrison, 191 (20 active, 1 death); Putnam, 67 (9 active, 1 death); and Mercer, 34 (0 active, 0 deaths).
