The Chillicothe R-2 Board of Education has finalized a contract to construct a new district headquarters, which has been estimated to cost $1.6 million.
The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune reported the facility will house both the administrative offices and the “transition-to-life” headquarters. Weldon Construction will do the work, with a completion date of April 2021.
The building is to be constructed near the high school. As has been previously announced, the construction is being paid for with insurance funds the school district received when the previous district office was damaged due to flooding.
