Judging Begins At 2020 NCM Fair Livestock Show

The 2020 edition of the North Central Missouri Fair opened on Tuesday with judging of rabbits and poultry.
There were nine exhibitors showing 39 entries in the rabbit show. Two individuals participated in the Pee Wee portion of the show.
The Grand Champion entry was a Holland Lop, exhibited by Robyn Snuffer of Gilman City. Anna Hines of Hale showed the Reserve Champion, a New Zealand. Miss Snuffer also had the Best Four Class Rabbit and was the Senior Showmanship winner while Miss Hines showed both the Best Six Class and the Reserve Six Class winners. Caitlynn Chalfant of Gilman City showed the Reserve Four Class Rabbit and was the Junior Showmanship winner.
Receiving ribbons were Robyn Snuffer, 5 gold; Anna Hines, 5 gold; Ashley Chalfant, 5 gold; Emily Chalfant, 5 gold; Caitlynn Chalfant, 5 gold; Dakota Polk, 4 gold; Lance Jacobs, 5 gold; Eli Jacobs, 1 gold; and Eyn Quade, 4 gold. Pee Wee ribbon winners were Malory Chalfant and Emmasue Jacobs.
There were four exhibitors showing 19 entries in the poultry/fowl show. Lydia Smith was the lone Pee Wee participant.
The Champion of Show went to Abby Smith of Braymer with a Qual D’Anver Bantam Hen. Miss Smith also showed the Reserve Champion of Show, a Barred Rock Bantam Cock.
Miss Smith had the Champion Bantam and Reserve Champion Bantam. The Champion Large Fowl was a Jersey Giant Standard Pullet, shown by Lance Jacobs of Eagleville. The Reserve Champion Large Fowl was an Americana Standard Pullet belonging to Addison George of Chillicothe. Miss Smith was the Senior Showmanship winner while Jacob Smith of  Braymer was named the Junior Showmanship winner.
Ribbons were presented to Abby Smith, 5 gold; Jacob Smith, 4 gold; Lance Jacobs, 2 gold, 2 silver; and Addison George, 4 gold.
The swine show gets under way at 4 p.m. on Wednesday in the NCM Fair livestock pavilion. The event is open for public viewing.
The remaining livestock judging schedule includes goats on Thursday, sheep on Friday and beef cattle on Saturday. All shows begin at 4 p.m.
