Beginning Aug. 1, face coverings will be required for all persons involved in public courtroom proceedings in the Third Judicial Circuit Court System, which includes Grundy County.
The order comes from the Missouri Supreme Court’s Operational Directives and was announced on Wednesday by Judge Thomas Alley. The order states “face masks or coverings shall be required in all public court areas and during all court proceedings unless good cause is shown to limit the requirement in a particular proceeding.” The order includes all courtroom personnel. Signs will be posted on office and courtroom doors, outlining the order. work in other areas of the project is progressing.
