Grundy County now has two active cases of COVID-19, with a new case being reported by the Grundy County Health Department on Friday.
The new case brings the total number of positive cases to 24 since testing started, including one death. Information provided by the health department show nine females and 15 men have tested positive in the county. Broken down by age, the numbers show 4 – under 20; 5 – ages 20 to 29; 3 – ages 30 to 39; 3 – ages 40 to 49; 3 – ages 50 to 59; 3 – ages 60 to 69; 1 – ages 70 to 79; and 2 – ages 80 to 89. There were 172 close contacts quarantined.
The health department notes the number of cases in Missouri has grown this week and are asking residents to wear a mask when they go out this weekend. “We know it slows the spread of the virus and it’s one of the few weapons we have in this fight,” the health department states.
