
Ellie Boman, left, and Amanda Parrack, right, have been named the 2020 drum majors for the Trenton High School Golden Bulldog Marching Band. The band is scheduled to begin its summer activities in July, with drumline auditions set for July 6 (snares), July 8 (tenors) and July 8 (bass drums) while the front ensemble (pit) auditions are set for July 9. All auditions are from 3 to 7 p.m. Battery rehearsals will be from 3 to 4 p.m. on July 10 while pit rehearsals will be from 5 to 6 p.m., also on July 10. Students should check their school email for the sign-up link. The indoor drumline camp will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8:30 p.m. on July 13-17. This year’s drumline show will be “Modern Twist,” which applies the modern evolution of music to the classical hits of Mozart, Beethoven, Grieg and Rachmaninoff. Band camp will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8:30 p.m. on July 20-24. The marching band show is “Sir Elton John,” arranged by Tom Wallace and featuring the songs “Funeral for a Friend”, “Love Lies Bleeding”, “Your Song” and “Saturday Night’s Alright.” Ethan Stewart is the THS Band Director.
