A 13-year-old Trenton resident was one of two juveniles injured in an ATV accident on Wednesday afternoon in Harrison County.
The 13-year-old was the driver of an ATV that was westbound on County Road 172, one mile south of Blythedale, and traveling side by side with a second ATV driven by a 14-year-old Blythedale juvenile. The two vehicles collided and overturned numerous times, ejecting both drivers.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported both drivers received moderate injuries and were transported to the Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany by the North Harrison Ambulance Service. There was minor damage to the ATV driven by the Blythedale juvenile while the ATV driven by the Trenton juvenile received extensive damage.
The accident was investigated by Trooper T.B. Heintz, who was assisted by Trooper C.M. Hunter and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.
