Colleen D. Cousins, a 70-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 1:35 a.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Saint Luke’s Northland Hospital in Kansas City.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton. Her body was cremated.
Mrs. Cousins was born on March 23, 1950 in Bakersfield, CA, the daughter of Roy and Marjorie Linneus. She graduated from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg with a master’s degree in special education. She taught school in several school districts, including Breckenridge, Princeton and Marceline. She also had a bachelor’s degree in art.
She was married to Stanley Dean, Billie Kizzire and Bill Cousins.
She is survived by two daughters, Esther Dean of Trenton and Tiffany Kizzire of Sedalia; one step-daughter, Judith Lee Wright, Columbus, OH; two sons, David Dean and Matthew Dean, both of Sedalia; seven grandchildren, Destiny Morton, Summer Sharp, Maria Kizzire, Jordan Kizzire, Kobe Kizzire, Liriel Dean and Mattie Dean; and six great-grandchildren, including Parker Sharp, Pasley Grim and Payton Morton.
She was preceded death by her parents; two husbands, Stanley Dean and Bill Cousins; and one granddaughter, Jaelyn Bevier.
