The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office has reported that two persons were arrested over the weekend, including one who is being returned to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
According to the sheriff’s office, Gregory Baecht, a 40-year-old Trenton resident, is being returned to the Missouri Department of Corrections to complete his sentence after violating the terms of his parole on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested April 26.
Also arrested was Timothy Persell, Jr., a 26-year-old Trenton resident. Persell is charged with a class E felony of passing bad checks, accused of writing a $100 check to Hy-Vee in January on a non-existent account. His bond on that charge is $459 cash-only. He is also facing a probation violation for violating the terms of his probation on three original counts of distribution or delivery of not more than five grams of marijuana. His bond on the violation is $5,000 with 10 percent allowed. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 12.
