Nina J. Jasinski, a 62-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 11:10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
Her body was cremated under the direction of Slater-Neal Funeral Home of Trenton. No services are planned.
Miss. Jasinski was born on Jan. 21, 1958 at Trenton, the daughter of John and Gydona Stephens Jasinski. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1977. She lived in the Tindall area moving to Trenton in 1978. She started babysitting for family members and others – the best babysitter ever. She loved working in her flower beds, fishing and doing crafts. She was first to be there to help.
Survivors include four sisters, Judy Lewis and her husband, Jake Warren of Princeton, Lana Carter and her husband, Richard of Trenton, Dona Selby and her husband, Stephen of Trenton and Joy Bonnett and her husband, Roger of Spickard; three brothers, Gary Jasinski and his wife, Geneva of Marshfield, Terry Jasinski and his wife, Julie of Trenton, and John Jasinski, and his wife, Lorey of Trenton; an uncle and aunt, Bob and Carol Stephens of Kansas City; eight nieces and nephews; 20 great-nieces and nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; one nephew; three brothers-in-law; and several aunts and uncles.
Memorials are suggested to either Saint Luke’s Hospice or Ellis Fischel Hospital at Columbia or help with burial expenses. They may be left at or mailed to the Slater-Neal Funeral Home at Trenton.
