Mackenzie McAtee Earns State FFA Proficiency Award

Trenton FFA member Mackenzie McAtee is among FFA members from across Missouri who have been named winners of state proficiency awards.
Miss McAtee was selected as the winner of the agricultural sales placement proficiency award, which recognizes a member who excels as an ag entrepreneur, employee or volunteer while gaining hands-on experience. The agricultural sales placement award is one of 46 proficiency award areas recognized at the state level.
Miss McAtee’s supervised agricultural experience program involves working at Orscheln Farm and Home, with responsibilities in stocking feed, cashiering, managing inventory and assisting customers. As an FFA member, she has competed at the district level in the Missouri Teach Ag FFA and the Missouri Farm Bureau public speaking contests. She is a graduate of the Helping Youth Maximize Agricultural eXperiences Academy and attending both the state and national FFA conventions. In addition to FFA, she participated in softball and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Business Leaders of America, National Honor Society and student council.
Following graduation, Miss McAtee plans to attend North Central Missouri College, transfering to Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville to study math and agricultural business with a goal of working with an ag-related insurance company. She is the daughter of Lyn and Angie McAtee of Trenton. Her FFA advisors are Kabel Oaks and Brook Kreatz.
