Three Trenton residents received injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Friday night, five miles south of Jamesport.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a car driven by David Stark, 23, was southbound on Highway 190 when it failed to negotiate a curve and went out of control, traveling off the east side of the road and striking an embankment before overturning. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels.
Stark received serious injuries and was taken by the Daviess County Ambulance Service to Mosaic in St. Joseph. Two passengers in his car, 17-year-old Cassie Stark and 23-year-old Sean Pruitt, also received injuries and were taken by ambulance to Hedrick Medical Center. Miss Stark received moderate injuries while Pruitt’s injuries were listed as minor. None of the three were wearing a safety device. The car was demolished.
The accident was investigated by Trooper J.R. Lynch, who was assisted by Trooper N.A. Regan and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
