The Trenton girls basketball team officially closed out its 2019-2020 campaign with the annual team banquet on Thursday night in the Trenton High School Commons.
Trenton ran a 15-12 overall record, finishing runner-up in the Grand River Conference’s East Division and placing second in the district, Gallatin and Lawson tournaments. Trenton was third at the Hamilton Tournament.
Not surprisingly, Maci Moore was named the team MVP at the banquet. Moore led Trenton with 24 points and 12 rebounds per game on her way to unanimous first team all-conference honors and spots on the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association all-district and KMZU Dream Team.

Whitaker joined Moore in receiving unanimous first team all-conference honors and was also named to the all-district and KMZU Dream Team as well. Lynch was a second-team all-conference selection.
Trenton also recognized its junior varsity team, which went 6-6 on the season and won the Gallatin JV Tournament.
Other players recognized at the event included Allena Allen, Hannah Bowe, Teya Cooksey, Morgan King, Jenna Reeter, Mallory Sole, Kaylynn Stanton and Shay Westerhof, along with manager Katie Markell and videographer Lily Berti
