The Princeton City Council approved two service contracts during a meeting on Monday night, March 9.
According to Assistant City Clerk Corey Willett, the council approved a $3,000 service contract with the Mercer County Fair Board to hire the band “Fast Times,” which will play at the fair on July 17. A service contract in the amount of $500 was approved for the Princeton High School Band to play a concert on the downtown square on April 24.
The council voted to close an alley between Casteel and Cane streets and tentatively set the spring cleanup date for May 2, with a backup date of May 9. Members also heard information regarding well testing requests being sent out, which is the next step in the city’s water improvement project.
The next meeting of the council will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 13.
