The Trenton High School special education department will hold a silent basket auction and bake sale on Friday, March 13 during the THS/Trenton Middle School spring parent-teacher conferences.
Conferences will be held from 2 to 7 p.m., with cookies, pies, cake pops, cinnamon rolls and cupcakes offered for sale. Bidding on the auction items will also take place online during that time through the R-9 District website (www.trentonr9.k12.mo.us).
Baskets have been donated by Cashmere+Cotton, GOLDENtan, Cactus Creation, Pet Central, Donna Dougan/Kelly Beavers (dog themed), Connie Olmstead (Easter), Anna Musselman, Bobbi Polk (gardening), Carla Cooksey (pampering), Tara Hoffman (Vintage Vines), Angela Lovell/Brenda Thorne (Bath and Body Works), Trenton Republican-Times (gardening), THS Student Council (bath theme), Tara Lewis (Easter and gardening), Tasha McCall (Royals), Fran Miller (movie), Main Street Trenton (hometown theme) and many more. Bidding will end at 7 p.m. and winners will be notified.
Proceeds from both events will be used by the students for travel to South Dakota and Wyoming, where they will study about the presidents located on Mount Rushmore as well as historical places tied to their curriculum.
