Man Charged As Persistent Offender

A Chillicothe man is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center after being arrested on a felony charge of driving while intoxicated.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 48-year-old Shawn S. Howell was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on March 6 and charged with a class D felony of driving while intoxicated-aggravated offender. He is accused of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and has three previous DWI convictions. Howell is being held on $ 2,500 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court March 10.
