Library To Hold Annual Dinner, Book Sale

The Friends of the Library will be holding its annual appreciation dinner and book sale later this month.
The dinner will be held on Friday, March 27 on the main floor of the Grundy County-Jewett Norris Library. The meal begins at 6 p.m. at a cost of $20 per person. Reservations and payment for the dinner must be received no later than Monday, March 23.
Following the dinner, prehistoric creature/human model Sculptor Gary Staab will present a program about his vocation and work process in the Hoover Theater at 7 p.m. The program will be open to the public at no cost.
The book sale will take place from Monday, March 30 to Saturday, April 4 on the third floor of the library. All genres of books, along with large print books, audio books DVDs, puzzles and much more will be available for purchase. Members of the Friends of the Library will be able to purchase books on Monday, from noon to 5 p.m., with the sale open to the general public from 5 to 7 o’clock that evening. The public sale continues on Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Purchases on Saturday will be $1 per bag of items.
