Spickard R-2 Elementary School hosted the Bomgardner family from Mercer, who visited with students in grades two through six to talk about bees. The program, held on Thursday, Feb. 27, included information about the production of honey and pollination and students were able to taste-test honey provided by the Bomgardners. The activity follows the students’ science curriculum as well as the soil and water conservation poster contest in which they will be participating.
