A St. Joseph woman is facing two felony charges in connection with a motor vehicle that was stolen in Grundy County.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Kellie S. Holtman, 48, is charged with two class D felonies, stealing a motor vehicle and stealing in the amount of $750 or more. She is accused of working in concert with Bevan Bohm on Jan. 27 to appropriate a 2013 Dodge Avenger owned by Patricia Calivere, as well as other items belonging to Ms. Calivere including three pairs of Nike shoes, a pair of New Balance shoes, a pair of Avia shoes, two sets of car keys and an electric remote, her personal ID, a clasp-type wallet and a checkbook. Ms. Holtman is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $15,000 cash-only bond.
Also arrested was Justin Taul, 43, Trenton, who is charged with a class A misdemeanor of fourth degree domestic assault. He is accused of causing physical pain to a person with whom he resides by pushing that person and grabbing and squeezing that person by the face. His bond is set at $1,500 cash only and he remains in the GCDC.
Two persons have posted bond after failing to appear in court. Jessica E. Lewis, 21, Milan, failed to appear in court on charges of failing to register a motor vehicle, a class A misdemeanor, and driving while revoked or suspended, a class D misdemeanor. She has posted bonds totaling $421 cash. Christopher L. Holland, 38, Spickard, posted $200 cash bond after turning himself for failing to appear in court on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, a class A misdemeanor.
All four defendants are scheduled to appear in court March 10.
