Andy Shoemaker, a 38-year-old resident of Pollock, died on Monday, Feb. 17, 2020 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020 at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. Pastor Doug Crawford will officiate. The body will be cremated following the service.
Mr. Shoemaker was born on Aug. 3, 1981 in Brookfield, the son of Roy Shoemaker and Kathy White. He was married on June 8, 2012 to Michelle (Faubion) Shoemaker, who survives of the home. He grew up in Galt, graduating from Grundy R-5 High School. He worked at ConAgra for many years. He enjoyed horseback riding, going camping and shooting guns. He collected any John Wayne memorabilia. He liked holidays, especially Christmas lights. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed helping coach little league football. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and telling stories.
In additon to his wife, he is survived by three children, Riley Shoemaker, Elaina Shoemaker and Andrew Shoemaker, all of the home; his step-father, Terry Michael Delauder of Galt; siblings, Jeanie Martin of Milan, Ricky Shoemaker of Jefferson City, Mickey (Tina) Shoemaker of Topeka, KS, Amanda (Billie Jenkins) Hampton of Wheeling, T.J. Delauder of St. Joseph, Forrest Shoemaker of Maryville and Jennifer (Matt) Busch of Brookfield; a step-sister, LaDonna Alcantara of Houston, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and friends, Garth and Chelsea Wilson of Milan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Shoemaker; his mother, Kathy White Delauder; and his step-mother, Nancy Shoemaker.
