Chloe Sheckells of Staley High School in Kansas City won a district championship at 103 pounds at the girls wrestling District 4 Tournament in Kearney on Saturday, Feb. 7.
She will be competing this weekend at the MSHSAA State Tournament in Columbia. Sheckells also placed fourth at the Kansas City Stampede Tournament, second at the Columbia Wonder Woman Tournament and first in the Suburban Red Conference Tournament. The sophomore is 18-3 overall on the season and has been invited to participate in the National Folkstyle Tournament in March.
Sheckells is the daughter of Clark and Valerie (Bowe) Sheckells of Kansas City and the granddaughter of Charles and Vickie Bowe of Laredo.
